Quickstart
Account to running instance. Most of the elapsed time is provisioning, which runs without you.
1. Create an account
Sign up at app.thalamusaicloud.com/register. You will be asked for an email address, a password of at least 12 characters, and a name for your organisation.
We send a confirmation link. It is valid for 24 hours and can only be used once — if it expires, use the password-reset flow to get a fresh one.
This is deliberate. It proves the address is yours before anything is provisioned against it.
2. Create an instance
From the console, choose New instance and provide:
- A name — how it appears in your console. Change it whenever.
- A subdomain — 3 to 32 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and
hyphens. This becomes
yourname.tenant.thalamusaicloud.comand cannot be changed afterwards. - A region — pick the one closest to the systems you are monitoring, not to your office. It determines where your data is stored.
- A plan — see billing.
3. Wait for provisioning
The progress view shows the real steps rather than a spinner. You can close the page — provisioning runs on our side and we email you when it is done.
If a step fails, we roll back rather than leaving half-built infrastructure in place, and nothing is charged for an instance that never came up.
4. Sign in to your instance
Your instance has its own login, separate from your Thalamus AI Cloud account. The first admin is created during provisioning using the email address of whoever owns the organisation, and the credentials are in the "instance ready" email.
It is shown once and is not recoverable. Anyone with that email has admin access to your instance until it is changed.
5. Onboard your first service
Nothing is watched until you onboard it. See onboarding services for what counts as one and how to connect it.
